Here’s a little video to show what we’re all about! (This features founder Steph’s face and New Jersey Italian accent, as well as explains what we’re doing and why we’re here!)
Hi! If you’re reading this, chances are you’re either an autistic person who loves video games or one of my friends. Anyhow, I’d like to formally welcome you to the Autistic Gaming Initiative! Our goal here is to raise money for autism charities run for and by autistic people – by doing charity gaming livestreams featuring autistic gamers. Every single one of our regular members is on the spectrum – our goal is to challenge society’s perceptions of us and help out fellow autistic folks in the process.
This blog space on the site will be primarily used to announce news items, stream dates, and other fun things, so keep an eye on it and check regularly to see what’s new here! We’re growing quickly and we anticipate doing our first charity stream in May, so hang tight and you’ll be watching us play games before you know it! (Seriously, time goes by really quickly when you’ve got a deadline. It’s going even faster for us, believe me.)
Anyhow, in all seriousness, thank you so much for checking us out, and consider helping out in any way you can, even if it’s just spreading the word. Thanks for stopping by – hopefully we’ll see you again very soon!
